CERTIFICATION READINESS AND AUDIT SUPPORT

Enter certification with the management system, evidence and team prepared.

Hael helps you prepare for independent certification or examination through focused readiness review, remediation, evidence coordination and audit support.

We ensure the organisation can explain how its management system operates, demonstrate the controls behind it and respond to findings in a controlled way.

PREPARED FOR ASSESSMENT

A more controlled route through independent audit.

Independent assessment tests more than the presence of policies. Auditors and examiners expect to see clear scope, accountable ownership, operating controls, reliable evidence and management oversight.

Readiness work brings those elements together before the formal assessment begins. It reduces avoidable disruption, gives teams confidence in the process and enables genuine weaknesses to be addressed early.

A coherent management system

Present policies, responsibilities, risks, controls and evidence as one operating system rather than a collection assembled for the audit.

Coordinated evidence

Give auditors reliable, traceable evidence that is clearly connected to the requirement or control being assessed.

Prepared people

Ensure the people being interviewed understand their responsibilities and can explain how the relevant processes work in practice.

OUR APPROACH

One programme from final readiness review through the independent assessment.

Hael coordinates the practical work required before and during certification. We work across leadership, legal, risk, security, product, engineering and operations, while preserving the independence of the certification body or examiner.

Confirm scope and audit strategy

We review the intended scope, applicable standard, certification objective, management-system boundaries and proposed audit timetable.

We also help establish the appropriate certification body or examiner, the assessment stages involved and the information the organisation will need to provide.

Complete readiness and remediation

We conduct a focused readiness review across governance, documentation, controls, evidence, internal audit and management review.

Findings are prioritised, assigned and tracked through remediation. We test whether corrective action has been completed and whether sufficient evidence is available.

Support the audit process

We organise evidence, prepare the audit plan, brief participants and coordinate requests during the assessment.

Where findings arise, we help establish root cause, corrective action and the evidence needed to demonstrate an effective response.

CLEAR RESPONSIBILITIES

The organisation prepared. The certification decision made independently.

Hael does not issue certificates or examination opinions. Certification and assurance conclusions are determined by the independent certification body, auditor or examiner.

Our role is to prepare the organisation and support the process without influencing the independent conclusion. We help select an appropriate provider, but we do not take commission from certification bodies.

No adviser can guarantee certification. We provide experienced preparation, clear evidence and practical support so that the organisation enters assessment with a credible and properly implemented system.

PLANNING YOUR AUDIT

A delivery plan aligned to the assessment you intend to complete.

The programme depends on the applicable standard, intended scope, maturity of implementation, quality of evidence, outstanding findings and availability of the independent provider. We establish these facts before committing to an audit timetable. Where additional implementation is required, it is identified and planned before the organisation enters formal assessment.

You receive a defined readiness scope, evidence plan, responsibilities, remediation workstreams, audit timetable and fee. Where Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits apply, the programme is sequenced so that findings from the first stage can be addressed properly before the second begins.

WHY HAEL

Specialist AI governance advice, led by experienced practitioners.

Hael is the specialist AI governance and compliance practice within Buckingham Group, drawing on fifteen years of work across governance, risk and compliance. Our focus is deliberately specific: helping organisations put credible governance around the AI they develop, provide and use.

We advise AI providers preparing for enterprise scrutiny, as well as established and regulated organisations introducing AI across complex operating environments. We understand that these organisations have different commercial, regulatory and operational priorities. The scope and delivery model are designed accordingly.

Our work can cover readiness, scope, governance design, policy and control implementation, AI inventory, risk and impact assessment, evidence, internal audit, management review, certification preparation and ongoing improvement. We can lead the complete programme or work alongside your existing legal, risk, security, product and engineering teams.

Every engagement has a named practitioner and an agreed scope, timetable and fee. We do not take commission from certification bodies. Certification is assessed and issued independently. Where the Hael platform supports an engagement, it maintains the underlying systems, controls, evidence, decisions and review record. It supports practitioner judgement and operational continuity; it does not replace either.

DISCUSS YOUR CERTIFICATION PROGRAMME

Start with a clear view of readiness and the route to independent assessment.

In an initial scoping call, a Hael practitioner will review the certification or examination you are pursuing, the intended scope, the work already completed, the evidence available and your preferred audit window.

We will then set out the recommended readiness work, responsibilities, timetable and fee. You will know what remains to be completed before deciding when to begin the independent assessment.
