TECHNOLOGY — THE HAEL PLATFORM

One system of record, from the engagement onwards.

The Hael platform holds your AI systems, the obligations that apply to them, the controls that address those obligations and the evidence that each one operates.

We run engagements in it. You keep using it afterwards as the operational record of your AI governance.

WHAT IT HOLDS

A record designed to be examined.

Governance fails in practice when the position lives in documents that age the moment they are signed. The platform keeps the position current, attributed and dated.

Every item has an owner, a review date and the evidence behind it, so a question from a buyer, an auditor or a regulator has an answer on file.

Systems and obligations

Each AI system with its owner, purpose and classification, and the obligations that apply to it across every framework in scope.

Controls and evidence

The controls addressing each obligation, the evidence that they operate, and the date each was last tested.

Decisions and approvals

Who approved each item, when it was last reviewed, and the sources behind every claim in the documents produced.

HOW WE USE IT

The platform is where the engagement runs.

The platform is not a deliverable handed over at the end. It is the working record of the engagement from the first week, which is why the position is still current when the engagement closes.

During the engagement

We build the AI inventory in the platform, capture obligations against every system and record each control with the evidence that proves it operates.

Every approval and review is dated and attributed, so progress is visible to your leadership throughout rather than at the end.

Alongside your existing tooling

Where you already run Vanta, Drata, Secureframe or Sprinto, we work within that platform and configure it properly for AI governance rather than duplicating it.

Where you do not, the engagement runs on the Hael platform and it is included in the engagement fee at no additional charge.

After the engagement

The platform remains yours. It is where you record new AI systems as they are introduced, re-test controls on schedule and keep evidence current.

The next buyer questionnaire is answered from a governed library with the underlying evidence linked, rather than from memory.

WHY IT MATTERS AFTER THE AUDIT

Certification is a point in time. The record is not.

A certificate or report reflects a position on a date. The obligations, the systems and the controls all continue to move after it is issued.

The platform carries that position forward: surveillance audits, management reviews, new AI systems, new regulatory requirements and the next round of customer scrutiny are answered from the same record.

Where a gap appears, it appears in the record with an owner and a date, rather than surfacing in a buyer's questionnaire.

WHAT IS INCLUDED

Included in the engagement, not sold separately.

The platform is provided as part of the engagement. There is no separate licence to negotiate, no per-seat pricing to model and no obligation to continue with it once the engagement ends.

Configuration, the initial AI inventory, obligation mapping and control structure are all carried out by the practitioners delivering your engagement. Your team is trained on the record they will operate.

WHY HAEL

Specialist AI governance advice, led by experienced practitioners.

Hael is the specialist AI governance and compliance practice within Buckingham Group, drawing on fifteen years of work across governance, risk and compliance. Our focus is deliberately specific: helping organisations put credible governance around the AI they develop, provide and use.

We advise AI providers preparing for enterprise scrutiny, as well as established and regulated organisations introducing AI across complex operating environments. We understand that these organisations have different commercial, regulatory and operational priorities. The scope and delivery model are designed accordingly.

Our work can cover readiness, scope, governance design, policy and control implementation, AI inventory, risk and impact assessment, evidence, internal audit, management review, certification preparation and ongoing improvement. We can lead the complete programme or work alongside your existing legal, risk, security, product and engineering teams.

Every engagement has a named practitioner and an agreed scope, timetable and fee. Where the Hael platform supports an engagement, it maintains the underlying systems, controls, evidence, decisions and review record. It supports practitioner judgement and operational continuity; it does not replace either.

RELATED SERVICES

The engagements the platform supports.

Readiness and gap assessment

Establish the current position against the standards, regulations and assurance requirements that matter.

AI governance implementation

Put the required governance, policies, controls, responsibilities and evidence into operation.

Buyer assurance and security reviews

Answer enterprise questionnaires from a governed library with the evidence linked.

Continuous governance and assurance

Keep systems, controls, evidence and review activity current as the organisation changes.

DISCUSS THE PLATFORM

See the record on your own systems, not on a demo tenant.

In an initial scoping call we will review your AI systems, the frameworks in scope and the tooling you already run.

We will then set out how the record would be structured, what the engagement would cover and what your team would operate afterwards.
